Terms of use
Last updated November 6, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Is Life LLC ("we", "us"), the company that makes Diaper Duty. By using the app you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use it.
What Diaper Duty is
Diaper Duty is an app for logging a baby's sleep, feeds, diapers, growth and health, and sharing that log with the other people who care for them. It comes with the optional Ask feature, reminders, widgets, an Apple Watch app and Siri shortcuts.
It's a log, not medical advice
Diaper Duty keeps a record of what you enter. It doesn't diagnose, treat or give medical advice, and nothing in it replaces your pediatrician or another health professional. Medicine reminders and times between doses are only what you set; always check doses with a doctor or pharmacist.
It isn't for emergencies. If your baby may be seriously ill or hurt, call 911 or your local emergency number, or your doctor, right away. Don't rely on the app, its reminders or its notifications reaching you on time.
Ask answers come from AI
Ask and the AI summary on a visit report are written by an AI model from your log. They can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, even when they sound sure. Check anything important with your pediatrician, and don't make health decisions based on them alone.
Your account and household
- You sign in with Apple or Google, and you're responsible for what happens under your account.
- You choose whom to invite to your household. Everyone you invite can see its children and log, and a parent can do everything you can, including inviting and removing people. Invite only people you trust with that information, and remove anyone who shouldn't have it any more.
- You're responsible for what you and the people you invite enter, and for having the right to share information about the children you log.
Acceptable use
Use Diaper Duty only to care for children, lawfully, and for yourself and your household. Don't:
- break the law with it, or use it to harass, track or harm anyone;
- get into accounts or households that aren't yours, or try to;
- disrupt or overload our servers, probe them for weaknesses, or get around limits we set;
- copy, resell or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it.
Your data
What you log stays yours. You let us store it and process it only to run Diaper Duty for you and your household, as the privacy policy describes.
Changes to the app
We keep improving Diaper Duty, so features may change, and some may be added, limited or removed. If we ever stop running the app, we'll tell you in advance where we can.
Provided as is
We work hard to keep Diaper Duty reliable, but it's provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises beyond these terms: not that it will always be available, free of errors, or that your log or reminders will never be late or lost, and not that it fits a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Is Life LLC isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of Diaper Duty, and our total liability for any claim about it is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Ending your use
You can stop using Diaper Duty at any time, and delete your account in Settings → Account → Delete account (the privacy policy says what's deleted and what stays with your household). We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk, and we'll tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.
Apple
If you downloaded Diaper Duty from the App Store, these terms are between you and Is Life LLC, not Apple. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and where it differs from these terms, these terms apply to the extent the law allows. In particular:
- You may use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as the App Store's Usage Rules allow.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content, and for maintenance and support. Apple has no obligation to provide either.
- If the app doesn't conform to an applicable warranty, you can tell Apple, and Apple will refund what you paid for it, if anything. Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
- We, not Apple, handle any claims about the app, including product liability, failure to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
- If anyone claims the app infringes their intellectual property, we, not Apple, are responsible for dealing with it.
- You confirm you aren't in a country under a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting", and aren't on a U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules, and any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in Massachusetts, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update the date above, and tell you in the app before significant changes take effect. Using Diaper Duty after that means you accept the new terms.
